My dog is being treated for diabetes insipidus with desmopressin drops. Paws crossed this does the trick. If it isn't then it is an MRI to see if she has a
pituitary tumor. My question is will her microchip interfere with the MRI?

Hi, I'm no expert but I think your dog would probably be fine. They prepared my dog for an MRI once and they asked lots of questions on the form but not if
he had a microchip. My dog has steel plates in his hips but they said he could still have the procedure. Luckily he improved the day the MRI was to be done and
he never had it.

Thanks, Free is hopefully not going to need one either (MRI), but I still would like to know the answer. It scares me not knowing.

Diabetes insipidus would not be easily confused with a pituitary tumor, so I think chances are in your favor that desmopressin, the treatment of choice for
diabetes insipidus, will work. Good luck!
